Supported and tested phones
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Dose reminders must always ring. That is why we say plainly where Cloud Pet works, where it does not, and which phones we are testing it on.
Requirements
| You need | |
|---|---|
| iPhone | iOS 18 or later (iPhone XS and newer) |
| Android | Android 8 or later, with Google services |
| Voice dictation for the diary | iPhone with iOS 18; Android 13 or later. The text is recognised on the phone and the audio is not recorded |
Cloud Pet does not ask for an account and works offline. The phones in a Circle can be iPhones and Android phones together: the same invite works on both.
Unsupported phones
Phones without Google services (for example recent Huawei models) are not supported. The app may open, but the Circle alert (the one that warns the others when a dose is not confirmed) goes through Google’s notification service and does not arrive. On those phones the app says so in the alert section, and we cannot promise that reminders ring on time.
Phones under test
Before 1.3 is released we test reminders on real phones across ten cases: app closed for days, battery saver, restart, clock change, “every N days” doses, an ignored notification, updating from 1.2, phone off or in “do not disturb”, and the alert between an iPhone and an Android phone.
| Phone | What we look at |
|---|---|
| iPhone: an older model (SE or 11) and a recent one | reminders, Circle alert, migration from iCloud |
| Samsung Galaxy A | “sleeping apps” and battery saver |
| Xiaomi or Redmi (MIUI or HyperOS) | autostart and battery saver |
| Oppo or OnePlus | the manufacturer’s battery saver |
| Google Pixel | Android’s reference behaviour |
| Motorola | battery saver and background start |
We have no results to show yet. Until the results are good on all of these phones we will not write “tested on…” anywhere. When they are ready you will find them here, with the date and the system version.
If your phone is not on the list and reminders do not ring as they should, write to info@cloudpet.app with the model, the Android or iOS version and the Cloud Pet version (at the bottom of Settings): it helps us see where to improve. The Android guide explains how to take Cloud Pet off the sleeping apps list.
