Cloud, the Cloud Pet dog, waving a paw under a festive banner with lots of little stars

Version 1.2 of Cloud Pet is available on the App Store and Google Play. Here’s what changes.

Seven languages

Up to 1.1 Cloud Pet spoke Italian and English. Now it also speaks Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese: the app, notifications, permissions and even the store listings. If your phone is set to a language the app doesn’t know, you’ll see it in English.

The new translations were written with great care, but we know a language sounds best when spoken by someone who really speaks it. If you find a sentence that sounds off, write to info@cloudpet.app: we’ll gladly fix it.

An icon with your dog’s breed

The app icon can change: there are variants designed for the most common breeds and coats, and each now has the breed name next to it, so it’s easier to find the one that looks like your companion. You choose icons in settings (it’s a Premium feature).

Medication packaging reads like documents

When you photograph a medication box, Cloud Pet now reads the text in rows and columns, as it does with documents. It’s a small change, but it makes it much easier to find the name, dose and instructions. Reading happens on your phone: photos don’t go anywhere else.

More room for long languages

German and French have longer words than Italian. We fixed the places where text didn’t fit, so buttons, titles and rows can be read in full.

What’s next

The work goes on: the most awaited idea is the shared profile between iPhone and Android, which isn’t possible yet. When there’s a date, you’ll find it here and on the site first.

In the meantime, thank you to everyone who wrote to us: every message helped us understand what to fix.
