Cloud, the Cloud Pet dog, raises a paw next to an iPhone and an Android phone joined by little hearts and stars

Version 1.3 of Cloud Pet is the biggest yet. The change you’ll notice most is one: your pet’s profile is now shared between iPhone and Android, in the same circle. Someone on an iPhone and someone on an Android phone see the same doses, the same diary, the same visits.

One profile, with roles

The circle is the group of people who look after the same pets. Now you choose each person’s role when you invite them:

  • Owner: sees and edits everything, invites and removes people.
  • Family member: sees and edits everything, can invite other people.
  • Pet sitter: reads everything, ticks off the medicines given and the activities you assigned. Sees documents only once you approve them.
  • Follower: sees everything, changes nothing.

To invite someone, send a link with the app you prefer: it opens straight in Cloud Pet. If the person is next to you, show a QR for them to scan with their camera; if the link doesn’t open, there is always the code. The link works for one person and expires after 30 days. People you invite aren’t required to pay: the circle stays active as long as at least one person has an active payment (Premium or the free trial). If the invited person has Premium they help keep it active, otherwise they use the profile for free. A circle has at most 10 people. Data travels encrypted and only the phones of the people you invite can read it. If you used 1.2 on iPhone, your profiles move to the new system on their own.

An alert when a dose isn’t given

For each medication you can turn on “Remind me again if I don’t confirm”: your phone reminds you again after 30 and 60 minutes. And the owner can turn on the circle alert: if a dose isn’t confirmed within 30, 60 or 120 minutes, the people in the circle get a notification with no names in it, just “A dose hasn’t been confirmed”. It stays off until you turn it on.

New on your phone

  • A widget with today’s doses, to confirm them with one tap; on iPhone also a Live Activity.
  • Free measurements, such as weight or temperature, with a chart, and 7, 30 and 90 day reports to take to the vet.
  • Voice diary: you speak and the phone writes. Recognition happens on the phone; the audio is never recorded or sent to anyone. It needs an iPhone with iOS 18 or Android 13 or later.
  • Tidier Settings, in six rows, with “Report or suggest” so you can write to us from the app.
  • Lock screen: in the widgets the medicine name stays hidden until you choose to show it, with a switch. Dose notifications, on the other hand, always show everything, medicine name included, so whoever gives the dose doesn’t have to unlock the phone.
  • On Android, a battery guide for phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, realme, Motorola and Pixel) that stop apps and silence reminders.
  • A “What’s new in 1.3” page in Settings › Help and information, with no screens at first launch.
  • Export your data: a file with everything you’ve entered, readable by a person and by a spreadsheet.

Simpler pricing

There is one Premium, with every feature, and no limit on shared pets:

  • Yearly at €19.99;
  • Monthly at €3.99, for a short stretch of care.

One pet stays free, with medications, visits, diary, weight and the emergency card. For the first 14 days you get all of Premium, without paying. All the details are on the pricing page.

How to update

Update Cloud Pet from the App Store or Google Play. You need iOS 18 or later (iPhone XS and newer) or Android 8 or later with Google services; the details, and the phones we test reminders on, are in Supported and tested phones. If anything goes wrong, write to info@cloudpet.app. And if you have an idea you’d like in the app, we want to hear it.
